Sky HD Remote Record

I'm forgetful. I forget things.

I forget to record TV programmes for example.

I only remember when I'm reminded by a friend about a great programme I'm about to miss. I wish it wasn't so, but it is.

Therefore, I was very pleased to learn that my new Sky HD box had a remote record feature.

I really like the idea of being able to record TV programmes whilst I'm away from home.

I like the idea of being able to browse the programme guide, find a programme, select record, and then forget about it!

I really like the idea of being able to get home and watch all of the programmes I've recorded whilst being out and about. I really do!

I just wish I could set it up! It's proving impossible!

I have a Sky ID. I have a Sky HD box. I have access to the Sky Guide on my Mac and PC. I even have the Sky+ iPhone App. I've registered my mobile phone number with my Sky ID account. I've registered my mobile phone number with my Sky HD box. So that's it isn't it? Apparently not.

Whenever I access either the Sky Guide using my iPhone or Mac or PC I get a message saying I haven't registered, or haven't set-up remote recording.

I have. I have. I have.

I know I have! I've even created a new Sky ID, and registered a different mobile number, and have gone through the whole process of entering the information into the Sky HD box again, but still no joy.

"Account not setup for remote recording"

YES IT IS! I KNOW IT IS!

I fear a long conversation is looming with a Sky representative, who, I know, will not have been trained about anything to do with remote record!

Oh well...
